All fire sensors are connected to a centralised fire panel. This provides power to the sensors so there are no batteries to replace in the apartment units. The smoke alarem notice explains the operation of the Alarm Acknowledge Function (AAF) and the implications of smoke and steam leading to false fire alarms.

The A and B units have a shared air exhaust from their laundries which discharges on the A balcony. These exhausts are designed only for hot air from a clothers dryer and MUST NOT be connected to a cooking range hood. If you find yours is connected to a range hood you should have it disconnected as soon as possible. Recirculating range hoods which filter the cooking fumes and return the air to the kitchen are acceptable. Here you will find technical details of the shared exhaust ducting.
